Basic conversion for a compact pickup
We remove the engine, transmission, exhaust system, fuel system,and cooling system. Then we install the electric vehicle system which includes ADC FB1-4001 9” motor, motor/transmission coupler, adapter plates, KS-EV control cabinet with controller, contactor, and fuse, dc to dc converter, pickup bed battery box, wire harness, on board charger, and twenty T-105 Trojan batteries. This is a 120 volt 550 amp system. The cost of this system would start at $11,500.00 plus the donor vehicle. Any repair work needed on the vehicle would be extra.

There are many upgrades available such as an EV Glide two speed transmission, a 144 volt system, 750 amp and 1000 amp controllers, under bed battery boxes, tilt bed, and many varations of batteries. An EV Glide two spd. on an S10 would allow enough room for a 20 kw genset to make a series hybrid. Other options such as vacuum brake kit, Ceramic heater kit, air conditioner kit, other battery chargers, and an AC motor/controller system.
